What if all the crushes you ever had found out how you felt about them… all at once?
Sixteen-year-old Lara Jean Song keeps her love letters in a hatbox her mother gave her. They aren’t love letters that anyone else wrote for her; these are ones she’s written. One for every boy she’s ever loved—five in all. When she writes, she pours out her heart and soul and says all the things she would never say in real life, because her letters are for her eyes only. Until the day her secret letters are mailed, and suddenly, Lara Jean’s love life goes from imaginary to out of control.

My Thoughts:

This is the first Contemporary book I’d read in a while and I really enjoyed it. I was inspired to read it after seeing a news article announcing that it was being turned into a movie and spoke about the idea of the film/ book. I was instantly intrigued!
Turns out I was right to pick it up.
I was engaged as soon as I started reading. I love the family dynamic that is shown throughout the story. I also love that the main character is half Korean. Overall an amazing read. I found Lara Jean that main character interesting and totally loved her style (not how I would dress but reminds me so much of one of my friends)
I would totally recommend this book to anyone! Its perfect to get you back into reading if you are in a reading slump.
